Surin Beach is know for it's amazing white sand, great sunsets, and a millionaire paradise, due to all the luxury hotels located here to mention a few Twinpalms, Amanpuri and The Chedi. It's a very popular beach, but it's never crowded or hectic. Once you had enough of the sun and sea, you can always enjoy one of the few Spas, or take a Thai Cooking Class, before you head back for some Surfing, more sun and more beach.

After the Tsunami, By February 2005 many damaged and most undamaged resorts were back in business, and throughout 2005 life slowly returned to normal for the people of Phuket. Following strenuous recovery programs, there is no remaining tsunami damage other than at the most remote beaches.

And if the weather allows you to take a day away from the beach, you can always go for some shopping, even if there is nothing like shopping in phuket town or patong beach, there is still a few places worth visiting, on the Surin Beach Road you find Envision, Lemongrass, Oriental Fine Art, Paradise Diving Plus, Pimol Minimart. In the Plaza Surin you'll find Aleeta Shop, Candere Gallery, Chanintr, Fine 9 Design & Collection, Ginger and Lola Boutiques, Lamont, Sivalla, Soul of Asia. On Surin - Kamala Road, you have Bohdi, Central Wine Cellar, and the Local Markets.

There is not much of nightlife to talk about in the area, the few places worth a visit here would include, Catch Beach Club, Diver's, Envision Wine Bar, Liquid Lounge, Stereo Lab and Surin Bay Inn.

There is plenty and more restaurants in the Surin area, the most interesting ones would be along the beach, here you have Catch Beach Club, Diver's, Nok Seafood, Pla Beach & Restaurant, Taste Restaurant, Twin Brothers. On the Surin Beach Road, you will find, Cudos, Liquid Lounge, Oriental Spoon, Pensione, Surin Bay Inn, Weawes Restaurant, in the Nearby area you have Aqua and Ristorante Da Ali.
